Just days after graduating from Barnard College with a degree in American Studies, I serendipitously stumbled into my styling career, when the fruit plate I assembled for Cookie Magazine’s inaugural staff meeting received some very positive feedback. Lucky for me, my artfully assembled breakfast—plus our limited launch staff—inspired my wonderful bosses to let me try my hand at styling. After Cookie, I joined the staff of Food and Wine Magazine as a Home + Style editor, where I functioned as a staff prop stylist and a market and design editor. After leaving F+W in 2007 and a brief hiatus interning for the chef at Ristorante Oasis in Campagna, Italy, I began working as a freelance prop stylist and food writer. I now live in Los Angeles, but work regularly in NY and SF, where my friends and family keep the spare bed made and the keys under the mat for my frequent visits.
